D40 - 4 Cylinder or V6

Hi Peoples - I'm looking to buy a 4wd dual cab and have landed at 2013/14 D40's with under 150000 kms.
My question is occasionally there are the 3.0 litre V6 options which look appealing - or is it best to stick with the YD25s??
Looking forward to you thoughts.

D40 2.5 or 3.0 V6??

Hi Peoples - I'm after some advice redarding a choice between a series 5, 6 or 7 D40. That being 2013/4 2.5 or 3.0 V6. How difficlut are parts given their age. Any opinions appreciated.

The 3.0L V6 STX550 is a powerhouse and you are on the right track. I would stick with a 2013/2014 model if possible as some of the earlier 2011/2012 had some bearing issues which were nowhere near as common in the later model suggesting that Nissan or Renault were aware of the issue and resolved this in the later models. I still have my STX550 and it doesn't miss a beat. It's a 2014 but low K's on the clock with only 85,000 on the clock as these days I don't drive it as much.
Regarding what series to buy if you wanted a YD24 D40 then the later the better and for the same reason you would want to get a 140kW Euro 5 motor which are 03/2010 onwards as they have a refined motor without the issues the earlier models had.
