Can someone tell me where the EGR Valve is located in my 4lt V6 2006 Spanish built Navara.

I don't believe the VG40DE 4.0L V6 Petrol Engine has an EGR control system. I just had a look in the service manuals and I didn't find anything except for the YD25 and V9X Diesel variants.

Thanks Navboss..tried you tube and they have the egr valve on the lhs under the black air cleaner tube...but doesn't look the same on mine.
Reason I ask is mine is running a bit rough (missing)and that's often the problem...dirty egr valve.

Do you have a link to this youtube video? There is no mention what so ever regarding a EGR system in the VQ Engine. For emissions you have the following in the V6 Petrol:

• PCV Valve (found on the engine)
• Evaporation Purge Solenoid (found on the engine)
• Evaporation Vent Solenoid (found near rear axle on passenger side)
• Fuel Vapour Sensor (found near rear axle on passenger side)

think that link is knackered  but you tube has many egr cleaning videos for D40's but it looks different to mine.

Dont worry about it Navboss..thought i might be able to fix it .
Will have to get computer to scan it.

Just one more question Navboss.
There is a steel looking mechanism along the black air filter pipe on my V6?.
It has a black side and a plug on it.
The black piping continues on after this  in other words it's inline.
Its not the PCV Valve or evaporation solenoid.

Sounds like the mass airflow sensor. See pic below.  

No it's  a little right of  the power steering fluid container.
It's inline with the air cleaner pipe.
It has a black plastic  cover facing the block.
I'd do a pic but can't be over 256kb
