Front CV Axl recommendations....

Post by BarneyB »

My d/s outer CV boot has been buggered for ages. I've lost a lot of grease.

So I thought it's a good opportunity to create a spare for off-road.
I'll fit a new one and then remove the existing one and fix the boot & give it a birthday & keep for spare.

Can anyone recommend a good brand of aftermarket CV?
My search returned a pretty wide range of prices - from about $150 to $270....
Is there much difference? Are the cheap ones made of cheese?
Are genuine ones stronger?

cheers, SB

Navlife Sell aftermarket CV, "BASCO" brand which are Japanese. We have sold a heap of these with no known issues to date. We can also get genuine if required.

Having just today replaced my driver's side 08 Navs CV with the Basco unit purchased off Navlife I couldn't recommend it more.
I have a 4 inch lift and comparing old unit to new there was miles of difference in boot thickness/suppleness and hardware plus a 12 month warranty.
definitely recommend
