D40 cutting out after starting

Hi

2007 D40 2.5lt diesel with 200k on the clock recently purchased and starts ok then cuts out within 30 seconds, suspected air in fuel so removed squeeze style primer for a proper assembly with pump primer and water separation and new hoses for delivery and return but issues continued so replaced Suction control valve yesterday bled the system and did the ECU relearn and seem to be running ok but after sitting for a few hows started ok then stopped again and won’t start again…. Sigh

No codes at all from ECU

suspect air still, tank lines maybe… ideas appreciated
