Automatic Transmission

Hi all, I have a 2007 Navara d40 Spain model. I have been looking through the forums for a similar problem but have not come across one yet. My auto when put in drive will change up through the gears 1-4 but Overdrive will not engage. Then as I am coming to a stop the gears do not change back down to first and I have to turn the ignition off and on again to reset.
However if I drive around in 3rd - its works perfectly (changes up and changes down). I have replace filter and fluid and the levels both pre filter and now have been spot on. Has anyone had this problem or know what's wrong with transmission.
