2007 D40 Spain Ball joint

Post by Rockwall »

Good afternoon all. My mechanic went to change the lower ball joint but discovered it is apparently an odd size. His vernier tells him the old spigot is 45.6 approx but can't find one bigger than 45.25. Anyone seen this before? Plate attached. Thank you

Hi Rockwall,

Looking at your compliance plate you have a Spain Built D40 Navara. As far as I am aware there are only 2 sizes available which are 43.25mm and 45.25mm bot of which have a 22mm pin. There is a 24mm pin version but it too has a 43.25 spigot. Are you sure he measured correctly and that his verniers are accurate.
